Ron graduated high school in Minatare, NE and then attended Chadron State College where he met his wife Jean. Ron and Jean were both school teachers for 8 years, and Ron also enjoyed coaching for Wood Lake High School. At the end of their teaching careers, they both became full time ranchers in Cherry and Brown counties. Ron is a 2004 graduate of Missouri Auction School and now enjoys auctioneering.
